Norstel AB is a manufacturer of conductive and semi-insulating silicon carbide wafers and SiC single-crystal 4H epitaxial layers deposited by CVD epitaxy.
In power electronics these materials enable new designs saving energy and improving performance for a wide range of applications such as hybrid cars, mobile phone base stations and radar systems.
Norstel's customers are semiconductor device companies worldwide and Charles & Colvard, the sole source of moissanite jewels.
Fouriertransform AB, a venture capital company founded and owned by the Swedish state for the purpose of investing in companies in the automotive industry, is Norstel’s largest individual shareholder. Other major owners currently include venture capital funds advised by Eqvitec, Creandum and Northzone, as well as the Sixth AP Fund. |
